The 27 Sigma Alpha Sigma athletes who in 1971 won the all sports trophy at Ouachita Baptist University will have their names enshrined on the Ouachita All Sports Trophy are listed below:
Buddy Adcock, Buddy Blackwood, Cliff Buck, Lon Burch, Jack Case, Eddie Chism, Cliff Clements, Bubba Cope, Terry Davis, Dub Elrod, David Fulton, Buddy Goodwin, Rich Hargadine, Jim Hart, Virgil Hellum, Mike Johnson, Jim Kelley, Gary Kimberling, Paul Lancaster, Paul McNabb, Del Medlin, Tim Melton, Charles Murphy, Randy O’Steen, Steve Peoples, Richard Scifries, and Steve Siebert. Becky Hodges’ name will be added as SAS Sweetheart.
If I have left off any athlete that helped the S’s win the all sports trophy in 1971, please feel free to add their name to my list. The list goes to the engraver Friday April 14 at noon. We will celebrate the accomplishments of these friends and brothers, Friday April 21 at 1:00 pm in the Gold Tiger Sigma Alpha Sigma Alumni Reunion on the campus of Ouachita Baptist University.
